Ergulazi Fm
Type Locality and Naming
Liu Maoqiang and Mi Jiarong were named in 1981. The named profile is located in Yihe District, Naozhigou Township, north of Linjiang Town, Jilin Province.
Synonym: In 1996, the National Stratigraphic Multiple Division and Comparative Study of the Jilin Province Littostratigraphic Compilation Group classified the Ergu Lizi Formation into the Changbaishan Fm, and the age is T3-J1. Study on multiple stratigraphic division and correlation of the abandoned Naozhigou Fm and Ergulizi Fm in Jilin, the two strata are collectively called Changbai Fm (Cao, 1994).
Lithology and Thickness
Mainly neutral lava, consisting of lava breccia—neutral and basic lava—neutral lava forming intermittent volcanic eruption cycles. The thickness is 1880～2175 m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
It is in unconformity contact with the underlying strata
Upper contact
It is in conformity contact with the overlying Naozhigou Fm
Regional extent
Distributed on the line of Hualizi Mountain-Caiyuanzi West Mountain in Naozhigou Township, Hunjiang City, Jilin Province, it is distributed in a near east-west direction.
